JULY 1-12
Local bands will have the opportunity to showcase their talent and compete for the title of “Best Band” at this year’s Minerpalooza!
UTEP students, faculty, and staff will vote for their favorite bands online and the top three bands will play live at Texas Western Gold Rush on August 26. The top two finalists will perform at this year’s Minerpalooza on Friday, Sept. 6.
BAND Eligibility requirements
To be eligible to submit your band entry to participate in Minepalooza’s Battle of the Bands, you must meet the following requirements:
Must have at least three band members
Must be available on the following dates: - July 22–28: Video performance recording availability
Aug. 26: Texas Western Gold Rush live performance - Sept. 6: Minerpalooza live performance
Must not have previously won Battle of the Bands

Prizes
The top five bands will receive a free live performance video with professionally recorded audio.
The top three bands will perform live for thousands of UTEP students and members of the El Paso community.
The winner of Battle of the Bands will earn one week of recording studio time and one week of editing, mixing, mastering, and publishing, valued at $5,000, at Genuine Reference Studios.
